First Art Exhibit | COALESCENCE 2020

COALESCENCE
/ˌkōəˈlesns/

—noun: the blending or coming together of two different entities into one
Fatima has been drawing and painting since childhood. Her artistic predilection led her to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Major in Visual Communications. Her faith and love of nature inspires the majority of her work; her best works consists of Catholic saints, flowers, and animals, in a style akin to a mixture of tradition and childlike wonder.
Dr. Leatrize is a graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Her innate fondness for animals sparks her scientific pursuits and expresses itself vividly in a collection of anthropomorphic paintings.
Witness the coalescence of these two worlds at the joint art exhibition which opens on the first week of February at the Hiyas Museum, Malolos, Bulacan.

Right after graduating college, studying for 6 years, I wasn't able to make so much artworks because of my busy schedule studying.
I needed to set aside my passion in making art to prioritize my study.
I was given an opportunity to join in an art exhibit in our province, In celebration of the  #nationalartsmuseum2020 together with my friend Fatima Arcilla
There was a short program and we also got interviewed. I thought I would just show my works to the public, but I didnt expect that it is bigger than that. There are caterings and musical band all sponsored by the government. I was truly blessed to experience and be part of this one of a kind event that would happen to my life
My favorite part of the event is at the end of the ceremony, there are kids from an orphanage visits our joint exhibit. I enjoyed explaining to them the story behind those paintings, also one of them was inspired and wanted to pursue Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
